There will be opportunities to get involved and to preview and review new books, so keep an eye out here for new developments! If you have any thoughts to share, then do get in touch.
There has been a lot of discussion in the UK press this spring about the continued use of peat by gardeners, and the damage it does to the environment. I want to create is a practical ebook that helps gardeners (new or experienced) who want to garden without using peat to do just that. I don’t want to write a book that belabours the environmental points, or berates gardeners who do use peat.
What’s different about 'The Peat-Free Diet' is that I am intending to blog the book as I go along – each chapter or section will appear on my blog as it’s finished. The idea of giving you access to my Potting Shed projects is that you can help shape them into things you would like to read: with your comments, ideas and contributions. In return you get to read the book for free as we go along, like a newspaper column that eventually gets compiled into a book.
When the book is finished then the plan is for Pete to turn it into a nicely formatted ebook that has all of the content in one place, but the chapters posted to the blog won’t be deleted.
It’s an experiment, and hopefully one we will all enjoy :)
