The Alternative Kitchen Garden podcast, produced and presented by Emma Cooper, is all about growing edible and useful plants in an environmentally-friendly way. It is completely free to download and listen to.

In this episode I’m welcoming new arrivals to the gardens – chickens and plants (including the toothache plant).
But do those plants have the potential to become invasive weeds? Plantlife certainly think so. We should certainly be careful what we plant, and where, but amateur gardeners aren’t the only people who allow plants to escape – botanic gardens do too!
After listening to the show you might also like to have a look at the RHS advice on dealing with garden thugs.
