Frosty ivy

It’s midwinter, and in this episode of the Alternative Kitchen Garden I’m looking at the legends and traditions associated with some of the plants that we bring into our houses for the holidays – holly and ivy, mistletoe, Yule logs and poinsettias.

For more information on these legends, have a look at the Anglican Gardener and Woodlands Junior School websites, and don’t forget that this is an ideal time to feed the birds.
