Leaf mould bin

Autumn is here and the leaves will soon start falling. As they have to be removed from most areas of the garden, maximize the return for your efforts and turn them into leaf mould – garden treasure!

Leaf mould makes a great mulch, soil improver and ingredient for home made potting mixes. It can even give a hedgehog a home, and it’s easy to make because it thrives on neglect.

Leaf mould is a valuable addition to any organic garden. To learn more about organic gardening, check out the Encyclopedia of Organic Gardening from the HDRA (Garden Organic).

Future topics for the show include slugs and the successes and failures of this year’s kitchen gardens, so it you have photos, hints & tips or stories from you garden then email me: akgpodcast[at]gmail.com
