Emma Cooper is a freelance writer, photographer and podcaster. An active organic gardener, Emma lives in Oxfordshire with husband Pete, three plastic compost bins, two wormeries and a pair of bokashi bins. There used to be chickens, too, but they have all moved on to pastures new.
Emma loves making compost and growing edible & useful plants in an environmentally-friendly way. Her first book, 'The Alternative Kitchen Garden: An A to Z', covers a wide range of topics from green gardening techniques to unusual edible plants and was published by Permanent Publications in 2009. Emma's second book, 'The Allotment Pocket Bible', was published by Crimson in June 2011.

Towards the end of last year, Heather Gorringe and the Wiggly Wigglers team embarked on a social media experiment. The asked their online Wiggly fans to write contributions for the next edition of their mail order catalogue.
The Wigglers have just sent me a copy of the latest catalogue because they used my contribution! I’m on page 21, right after an article written by the Podchef.
The maximum temperature in the Grow Dome yesterday was 27°C.
The overnight minimum was 1°C.
