Charlotte sent by far the largest selection of seeds, but she does admit to having a bit of a seed addiction. And we have met and exchanged seeds in the past, so she had more of a clue of what was already in my stash than everyone else.
There’s some lovely Oriental vegetables in this collection, and Charlotte adds Folia codes to all of her packets so that whoever receives them can log them into the Folia website and Charlotte can see where they end up.
The chronic disruption of the past weeks hasn’t done wonders for my memory. I know I was reading about perilla (shiso) and its uses (or listen to someone ‘talk’ about it online) earlier in the year, but I can’t for the life of me remember who it was or what they were saying. I usually bookmark things like that (on Delicious), but obviously forgot. A few minutes of searching suggests that it was (once again) Mike at Subsistence Pattern that inspired me to grow this plant. If you’ve got it and want more ideas of how to use it than Mike links to All About Shiso.
