Hen Solo hadn’t been looking herself for the last couple of days, although she seemed bright enough and there were no obvious signs that she was ill. We were keeping an eye on her, but unfortunately she died peacefully in her sleep last night. This is the last photo that Pete took of her, chilling out with Princess Layer in the run while we were trying out the Kelly Kettle:
And these are some of the many pictures I took of her during her life. She was such a beautiful chicken, her feathers shone in the sunshine, and she loved sunbathing.
Rest in peace, little one.
