Emma Cooper is a freelance writer, photographer and podcaster. An active organic gardener, Emma lives in Oxfordshire with husband Pete, three plastic compost bins, two wormeries and a pair of bokashi bins. There used to be chickens, too, but they have all moved on to pastures new.
Emma loves making compost and growing edible & useful plants in an environmentally-friendly way. Her first book, 'The Alternative Kitchen Garden: An A to Z', covers a wide range of topics from green gardening techniques to unusual edible plants and was published by Permanent Publications in 2009. Emma's second book, 'The Allotment Pocket Bible', was published by Crimson in June 2011.
The time has finally come – the first purple sprouting broccoli spears of 2009 have been harvested! And I ate them last night, too. Hopefully there are a lot more to come.
I’m sure there was something else I was going to say, but I’ve forgotten. In the meantime, the collaborative ebook now has a title, and it’s own blog: Dig, Grow, Eat, Blog and all future ebook-related excitement will take place over there!
