Emma Cooper is a freelance writer, photographer and podcaster. An active organic gardener, Emma lives in Oxfordshire with husband Pete, three plastic compost bins, two wormeries and a pair of bokashi bins. There used to be chickens, too, but they have all moved on to pastures new.
Emma loves making compost and growing edible & useful plants in an environmentally-friendly way. Her first book, 'The Alternative Kitchen Garden: An A to Z', covers a wide range of topics from green gardening techniques to unusual edible plants and was published by Permanent Publications in 2009. Emma's second book, 'The Allotment Pocket Bible', was published by Crimson in June 2011.
The poll for the eBook theme closed at the end of January – and so the theme for the book has been chosen! We’re going to go forward with a book that’s laid out like a kitchen garden.
This is a collaborative book project, so if you have any ideas or suggestions then feel free to leave them in the comments or send me an email. There’s still plenty of time to volunteer to be a contributor, just drop me a line. I’ll post a final date for submissions at some point, but it won’t be for a while.
