In 2004 I sowed some French bean seeds simply to observe at close quarters how they grew and developed.
This year I’m doing the same thing with Hestia dwarf runner beans, because I had the seeds handy. I sowed them in paper pots on 11th January, and put them inside a plastic propagator (a recycled container that originally held chocolate log!).
This is what they look like this morning. There’s clearly some mould issues (always a problem with paper pots) so I’m brewing some chamomile tea for them. I’ve moved them onto the bedroom windowsill so they get some light.
The radishes that were enjoying that spot are being moved out to the Grow Dome – just as soon as it stops raining!
